When you expect and you don't get the desired results it hurts you bad, well sadly but realistically India is out of T20 WC....Last 3 ICC tournaments..has been a disappointing performance to say the least.
On paper great potential but when it comes to performance well its there to be seen for everyone. Its not that every year we are going to win WC, but the manner in which we lost was more heartbreaking.
The media, former cricketers, BCCI have labeled out few reasons as always for this debacle: IPL, chin music, fatigue, Dhoni's tactical errors well agreed those were some of the factors, but for me the biggest point here is who is responsible for it, are these the real reasons I prolly don't have answers to it.
Loads of cricket:
Are the players who decide how many matches are to be played comprising of all 3 forms and IPl included, or is it the board ..well I feel it should be a consensus that has to be sought between players and BCCI for no. of matches to be played in a year. Its been so much excess of cricket throughout the year(yes its me saying that) that this was bound to be one of the reasons for the debacle.
IPL:
has been labeled as the main culprit, but why is IPL only affecting Indian players, agreed not all international players were playing but if you try to analyze each team's players, the core nucleus of all teams were involved in IPl except for Bangladesh, Pak(due to reasons we know), and remaining minnows. For Eng, Aus, SL most of the big guns were playing(Tait, Hussey, Warner, watson, KP, Colly, Morgan, Taylor, Bond, Harris, Mccullum, Mahela, Angelo, Sanga, Gayle, Kallis, Gibbs,Steyn and few more), irrespective of whether they play or not, they go thru routine travelling, workouts, pressure and oh ya the partying of IPL. So y all the hue and cry for IPL.
Well I would have loved to see if India would have made it to semis and finals in good form, would playing in IPL contributed to their form and much needed pressure and match practice(again debatable)....so for me IPl also is not a very strong reason for the debacle....
Chin Music:
And ya as they say old nemesis of India Chin music bowling or as they say India cannot face fast bowling, they get goose bumps, they forget they have bats, is it really the reason yes agreed Aus had great pace battery but was it so hard to be 50/7..If we just go back few years in time and with old rules.. till mid 90's and b4 that every team had 2/3 great fast bowlers, be it pak, Aus, Eng, WI, or India(yes not tearaway but decent bowlers) with likes of (Imran, Aaquib, Merv Hughes, Simon Doull. Walsh, Ambrose, Mcgrath, Gillespie, Wasim, Waqar, Danny, Kapil, Srinath, Gough and few more) I mean fi we still faced them and have won, so is it a reason, yes the way some of them got out was more than embarrassing, but the rules today help the batsmen a great deal, only boucer/over is it that hard to negotiate...well may be for India it is.
Dhoni's errors with backing Jadeja, going with more spinners and not so called pacers, not batting first, if batted first yes the pressure of scoring so many runs around 8/over would have not been there but does it guarantee we could have better with our performance.....
Well all ifs and butts... all reasons which has the ways to go both the ways, I am confused with the reasons for debacle, what is/are the real reason behind such a performance...which like after every debacle will die its own cause, and when there is a next ICC tournament we the people, media and all the former chatterboxes who know to speak will hail them as worthy contenders, but will it end it in similar manner or bring a smile I don't know but as of know I am thoroughly confused with it............
Hope in future we play much better!!!!!!!!

WCT20
IPL3 is over and CSK are crowned IPL3 champions, and its time for WC T20, 16 days 27 matches in the Caribbean.
This time there are 4 groups each with 3 teams, best 8 go on to Super8's followed by the best 4 to the semis, and 2 to the finals, As the 4 groups stand out more less the teams for Super 8's are on the cards with India, Aus, Pak, SL, SA, Eng, WI, NZ. Would have been more interesting and probably ICC should consider having teams like Zim, Afghan, Ireland in one group would fetch some interesting matches. Well kudos to the Afghan team for the way they have made their way to the cricketing world, we all knowof the situation going on in thier country. Well other than Bangladesh other 3 minows don't seem to have it in them to do what they term it an upset.
Moving on to the business end of the tournament i.e. the Super 8's more or less would be interesting with all teams having good composition.
Starting with the host WI, with likes of Gayle, Bravo, the big tick player Pollard and with ever conssistent C'Paul and Sarwan, the batting looks good with perfect home advantage, and the bowling with lesser known for likes of Taylor(coming back from injury), Kemar Roach, Benn.
England well they have never been like a team to be scared of in limited or test cricket. They have a lone KP and fighting PC, but thats the only 2 names which comes to my mind, yes they do have likes of Broad, Jamie, Swann(highly rated in Eng), an unkown Yardy and IPL benefitted M Lumb from RR, but would have to play out of their skins to reach the semis.
Same probably goes for SL...Mahela, Sanga, the slinger Malinga(is it his action or my eyes), the Angelic Mathews, well for SL to turn the tables, Murli and Mendis might have to be trump cards on the slow WI tracks, with much needed help from the slinger, yes a certain Jayasuriya(can I know if he plays why the hell he is kept for at no.6) but probably I feel he is good for being MP in SL.
Australia well the trade pundits seem to have their bets on them this year for the much coveted title holders, with likes of Warner, White, Watson(can get in few decent overs and is good at breaking partnerships), Clarke and the Hussey brothers have a good batting order but I feel they are more traditional whn it comes to T20 except for Warner and Watson. The Aussie pacce department would have definitely got the opp batsmen jumping if T20 was on bouncy pitches, what surprises me is they have only a 20 yrs old Steve Smith from whom much is expected in spin department. but having said that I feel they would still reach the semis.
Talking of down under for me the dark horses are this year NZ, with the bulky Ryder, technically not too bad Guptill, terrific Taylor, thinking captain Vettori, dangerous Mccullum, and their bowling also has a special Bond, young Southee, and the old Scotty Styris. They seem to be potentailly having good players, but at times they just don't come across to be as aggressive.
SA they always were never short of good players, Kallis, Smith, pace batter of Steyn, Langleveldth, or JP, AB, Boucher, Morkel brothers, but they probably get on to something after reaching the final stages, more seems to be a mental block, but than who knows might just go all the way.
Coming down to the 2 of most loved teams of cricket. India and Pakistan.
Starting with Pakistan, whatever keeps on happening in their country but they seem to have the flair for T20, First time finalist and last year Champions. This year they are still not out of the mess but are well rested and the lack of playing, adding the IPL woes, T20 might again give them the perfect meal to satisfy their hunger, but well they have BOOM BOOM as their captain, who will have to first lead by example if Paki has to make any grounds in T20, they have a decnt unit but they are as unpredictable as they have been always. They have good bowling with Asif back, and young sensation Aamer(liked his bowling is AUS), good offie in form of Saeed Ajmal, the Akmal brothers(we have quite a list of brothers in cricket). Would not be surprised if they reach semis.
Finally India well we all know we have potentailly good side with loads of talent and flair, in terms of batting and spin...pace has always been our worry. If we just play to our potentail with likes of Ms, Yuvi, Raina, Pathan, Gambhir and rest of the team, semis should not be dream.
My final 4 would be
Aus,
NZ/Pak
SA
India
All the best to the Indian crcket team.!!!!!!!
